The Prep School under 13s girls cricket team started their journey to Lords this term. Batting first Gigi and Erin rescued the early part of the innings after losing two early wickets in their first match v Queens. This was backed up by Cate who top scored and Peyton who retired. Taunton finished with a great 100, helped by 40 extras. Taunton bowled only a few wides, and no no-balls. There were wickets for Cate, Erin and Immy as well as an amazing catch by Eva. This resulted in a 49 run victory! 

In the second match, where victory was required for qualification to the finals, Wellington batted first. The second over bowled by Olive made a huge difference to the outcome of the game as she claimed three wickets! This was backed up by all the bowlers as Cate, Gigi and Eva each got one wicket apiece. A score of 40 was needed and Immy and Eloise both batted excellently to see off the target. 

Overall really good performances and lots of enjoyment which followed months of preparation by all the girls in the Prep School. Mr Roberts and Mr Sanderson were forced to make a very difficult final selection for the team who eventually played however real credit must go to all the girls that have been involved in preparing the squad for these games. Well done and congratulations to you all!
