TPS Cross Country Success
It has been an exceptionally busy and successful term for our cross country runners. More than 90 pupils from Years 3 to 8 have taken part in a range of races, and it has been wonderful to see so many trying cross country for the first time.
The season began with a Year 3/4 event, where we saw some outstanding performances and plenty of smiles at the finish line. The following week, our Year 5/6 pupils took on a longer course and rose to the challenge brilliantly.
Years 7 and 8 have also had a packed and rewarding term. Both of our English Schools Cup teams reached the regional finals and delivered excellent performances, narrowly missing out on places in the national final. At the Junior County Championships, our Junior Girls team were crowned overall county champions, and in the boys race, Noah earned the individual county champion title. Most recently, 19 of our athletes qualified to represent the Taunton Area at the Schools County Championships in January, and we wish them the very best of luck.
