Students from Pre-Prep all the way up to Senior School have enjoyed practising their public speaking and drama skills in Speech and Drama Lessons. Activities have included becoming a zoo tour guide, acting out stories, making story boards and putting on mini productions with a miniature wooden theatre.

The Speech and Drama students achieved very high results in their Vanguard Exams at the end of last term. Students should be very pleased with their marks. The majority of students achieved Honours, which is the highest result with over 90 percent. This is a brilliant achievement for the school.

The students are very excited about the Taunton Drama Festival coming up next term. Taunton School have over 70 selected entries to represent the school in the competition. We wish them all the best for their performances in February. Break a leg!

Yr 3 & 4 After School Drama Club have enjoyed drama themed games and crafts. The group have been learning about characters and expressions by making shadow and sock puppets.

Yr 5 & 6 After School Drama Club are super at making up their own plays. Each week they play a game to establish themes and characters. They separate into groups to create a story line and practice their mini-plays before joining as a big group to present them at the end of the session.

Well done to all students involved in Co-Curricular Speech and Drama. What a brilliant year!
