The festive season at Taunton Pre-Prep & Nursery is a magical time and it’s a joy to reflect on the wonderful events and activities that have filled our term with excitement, creativity and a sense of community. 

One of the highlights of this term was our Christmas Craft Day. Starting with a Christmas themed ‘Wake up, shake up’ with Miss Roberts, the excitement was palpable. The classrooms buzzed with activity as little hands created sparkling ornaments, colourful cards, and festive decorations. It is lovely to see the children working in mixed age groups for this Pre-Prep tradition and seeing the pleasure our older children take in supporting their Reception friends. It was wonderful to see the children’s imaginations come to life, and their creations will I’m sure add a touch of magic to your Christmas trees.

Our annual Nativity performances were another moment of pride and joy. Each child played their part beautifully, bringing the timeless story to life with enthusiastic performances and songs. From the cheeky animals in the stable to the spirited shepherds, the children’s enthusiasm and hard work shone brightly, spreading the true message of Christmas. Thank you for all of the time spent rehearsing lines and creating wonderful costumes to really bring the show to life. I am astounded by the confidence and professionalism every time that our children perform. 

We also gathered as a school community for our traditional Christingle Service in the chapel. The warm glow of candlelight and the harmony of voices singing created a truly special atmosphere. This cherished event reminded us of the light and hope that Christmas brings to all.

As we celebrate these precious moments, we have also talked with the children about how the greatest gift we can share this Christmas is the gift of our presence. While the excitement of presents is undeniable, it is the time spent with loved ones and the laughter shared that truly make the season magical.

From glittering crafts to heartfelt performances, it has been a term to remember!  Thank you for being part of our Pre-Prep family and for making this term so special.
