IAPS Hockey Finals Win
A talented group of Year 8 pupils from Taunton Prep School went to Charterhouse School in Surrey for the finals of the IAPS U13 Boys Hockey Championship. The team successfully qualified for the event by having success at the regional level competition.
Having won the event last year, the pressure was certainly on the team from the other competitors. Taunton School finished top in their group stages meaning they faced Cranmore in the quarters and won.
The semo-finals saw the boys play Cheltenham, a team they had previously lost to in the semi-finals of the regional rounds 2 weeks earlier. They played brilliant and took the victory winning 3-0.
The team faced Hazelgrove in the finals where Tom Barnett scored the winning and only goal of the game!
They played the whole tournament without conceding a single goal which is a true testament to what an amazing group of players these boys. Well done!
