Our Equestrian students have had a jam-packed summer, with so many fantastic things achieved.

Florence L was longlisted to compete for GB in the Pony Europeans following a solid result at the final trial. Her horse unfortunately suffered a veterinary issue which meant they couldn’t travel to Germany, so they instead competed at the National Youth Championships at a higher level 2*. Florence qualified for the South West team, coming 7th individually and being awarded the highest placed pony as well as being part of the winning team!

Florence L also competed at the Pony Club 110 Open Championships (for riders up to 25-years-old) at the Wellington Horse Trials and came 4th amidst a brilliant atmosphere and at a higher level than even our Head of Equestrian expected! Florence and her horse received a trophy for highest placed pony and for the lowest combined score for this and the Youth Championships.

Erin W came in 1st place at the Pony Club Championships Stepping Stones National Tetrathlon, being invited to take part a year early and then winning the whole thing!

Zoe & Laura T undertook a ten-day tour of Ireland with their horses to compete at two International Tetrathlon competitions (swim, run, shoot, ride): The Irish International Finals and the Pony Club Tetrathlon Senior Regionals where they rode for the South West against competitors up to 24-years-old. Zoe came in 6th internationally at the Irish Internationals and she then went on to win the Senior Regionals in Northern Ireland a week later. Laura too had outstanding rides and both ran exceptionally well. Swim scores were also good and their shooting helped them secure a good start in the points. On their return from Ireland, they competed at the Pony Club Championships: Laura in Tetrathlon and Dressage, and Zoe in Tetrathlon and Eventing 1m.

Daisy T competed in the Pony Club Regional Eventing Championships at Bicton.

Well done everyone, you should all be very proud of your achievements.
