Swimming success at IAPS National Finals
Taunton Prep School took three teams (U12 Boys, U13 Boys and U13 Girls) and eight individual swimmers (Lucas B, JJ W, James F, Cameron W, Harry F, Libby H, Paige T, Amelia W, Faye B and Elle P) to IAPS National Finals at the London Aquatic Centre on Saturday 8th June.
It was a fantastic, competitive and fun event and all teams and individuals swam exceptionally well.
Lucas finished with a gold medal in the U13 Boys 50m Butterfly
James finished with a gold medal in the U12 50m Butterfly
JJ finished with a silver medal in the 50m Breaststroke
Harry qualified for finals and finished in 8th position
Cameron finished 17th in the heats
In the relays, the U12 boys finished 7th in the Medley and 6th in the Freestyle
The U13 boys finished 10th in the Medley and 12th in the Freestyle
Paige finished 6th in her U13 50m Backstroke final
Amelia was also 6th in her U13 50m Butterfly Final.
Faye finished 8th in the U13 50m Breaststroke Final
Libby finished 15th in the heats
The girls medley team narrowly missed out on bronze medals by 0.3 seconds in the Medley and 0.05 in the Freestyle.
