Twelve cricketing girls have been awarded caps, an exciting first for Taunton School.

Girls captain Alice Robbins was the very first to receive a cap and said: “I am honoured and delighted to be the first girl cricketer to receive a 1st XI cap and it was also great to be able to wear this cap playing against the MCC, this will be a lasting memory from my time at Taunton School.”

Alice Robbins, Elle Golsworthy, Becca Stocks (All Woodyer), Millie Trescothick, Lily Blackwell, Sophie Day (All Jenkin), Charlotte Webber (Besley), Alice Williamson and Zara Pitman (both Bevan), Honor Vilanueva and Sienna Mitchell (both Wierfield), Jessica Slade (Bevan).
