On Tuesday 5th March, 32 pupils from Years 5-8 travelled to the Birmingham Symphony Hall to take part in the final of the Barnardo’s National Choir of the Year Competition!

The Taunton Prep School Singers were delighted to find out in December that they had made it through to the finals of this prestigious competition after securing their place alongside 11 other Junior Choirs out of a field of hundreds.

In front of an audience of 2500 people, the TPS Singers performed superbly. In the written feedback provided by Douglas Coombes, Chief Adjudicator, comments were made on how professional the choir looked along with their excellent intonation and diction.

To perform in the Symphony Hall is something that the TPS Singers will remember forever – a real once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Well done everyone!
