Congratulations to OT Georgia McGovern, who earned first-team Academic All-America honors from the College Sports Communicators. The Academic All-America program recognizes student-athletes who excel both academically and athletically, and McGovern earns exceptionally high marks in both categories. She earned first-team All-America honors from the American Volleyball Coaches Association and led CMS to the national semifinals at Roberts Pavilion while ranking second in the nation in assists per set, and also carries a high GPA as a literature major at Claremont McKenna. McGovern becomes the 10th CMS student-athlete to earn first-team Academic All-America honors, as well as the first volleyball player.
