Earlier this week, Year 7 took part in an exciting STEM workshop with the team from EDF Hinkley Point, learning about the incredible scale of building a new nuclear power station.

After discovering the huge number of people and cranes involved in the project, students were challenged to design and build their own cranes capable of lifting loads on site.

Working in teams, they put their communication, problem-solving and engineering skills to the test, adapting their designs, overcoming challenges and developing creative solutions.
