What an incredible week in Madeira for sisters Maddie and Amelie, proudly representing Great Britain at the European Championships. Maddie competed in the Triathle, Laser Run and Biathle as both an individual and a team and Amelie competed in the Triathle individual event.

Maddie competed across five events and produced a series of outstanding performances, helping Team GB secure a Gold Team Medal in the Triathle before finishing the championships in style with an individual Bronze Medal in the Laser Run. 

Meanwhile, Amelie, having only recently turned nine, was called up from the reserves to compete in the U11 Triathle and rose brilliantly to the challenge, delivering a fantastic performance on the international stage. 

With her Team, Maddie finished 1st in the Triathle Relay and 4th individually. Amelie, despite being considerably younger than the other competitors, finished 14th. In the Biathle, Maddie finished 6th and in the Laser Run, she came 8th.

We are incredibly proud of both girls. Their dedication, resilience and sporting excellence have been on full display throughout the championships, and they have been wonderful ambassadors for their country and our school.
