Year 12 students enjoyed an inspiring and engaging visit to the UCAS Convention at the Westpoint Arena in Exeter on 16th March. The event brought together universities, colleges and apprenticeship providers from across the country, giving students a valuable opportunity to explore their next steps after sixth form.

Throughout the morning students got the opportunity to visit a wide range of stands, gather prospectuses and speak directly with university and apprenticeship representatives about different courses and entry requirements. There were a range of Q&A talks on topics such as choosing the right university, understanding apprenticeships and personal statement writing tips.

The trip helped students gain a clearer idea of the variety of pathways available to them and encouraged them to think about their future applications. Whether they were exploring degree options, considering apprenticeships, or simply gathering ideas, the convention offered something for everyone.

It was a productive and motivating day that will support their planning in the months ahead.
