Our Boys’ Basketball team have been crowned South West League Champions!

Taunton School has enjoyed a truly exceptional season in the South West Basketball League, finishing in 1st place with a flawless record of 7 wins from 7 matches. Their unbeaten run is a testament to the team’s skill, discipline, and determination, and reflects the hard work put in by both players and coaching staff throughout the term.

Across the season, Taunton scored a total of 434 points, while conceding just 305, showcasing both their attacking strength and defensive resilience. Their consistent performances earned them the maximum 14 league points, placing them comfortably at the top of the table. Being in the top four meant they moved onto Finals Day.

The season culminated in Finals Day on 3^rd December, where we began by facing Richard Huish. In a confident and commanding performance, they secured a comfortable victory to progress to the final. Waiting for them were Blundells, who had earlier beaten Millfield. The final proved to be a thrilling and hard‑fought contest, with both teams showing tremendous spirit and determination. In the end, Taunton edged out Blundells by just one point, 32–31, in a dramatic finish that highlighted their resilience under pressure.

By winning Finals Day and remaining undefeated for the entire season, Taunton School has set a remarkable standard. Their success reflects not only their talent on the court but also their teamwork, commitment, and pride in representing the school.
