This term, Pre-Prep Sport lessons have taken our youngest learners on an exciting journey of discovery, imagination, and physical development. Through creative themes and engaging activities, children have been building fundamental movement skills while exploring the world around them in fun and meaningful ways.

Nursery 4 and Reception have blasted off as Galactic Explorers, navigating space-themed challenges that encouraged balance, coordination, and spatial awareness. From dodging meteor showers to landing on distant planets, these sessions have sparked curiosity and confidence in movement.

Year 1 set sail on a thrilling adventure as pirates, exploring movement through the life of a swashbuckler. Activities focused on agility, strength, and teamwork as children climbed the rigging, walked the plank, and searched for hidden treasure – all while developing essential locomotor skills.

Meanwhile, Year 2 stepped into the world of chivalry as Good Knights, learning about sporting values such as respect, fairness, and perseverance. Through knightly quests and cooperative challenges, pupils discovered that true strength lies not only in physical ability but also in character.

Across all year groups, these imaginative themes have provided a foundation for physical literacy, ensuring that every child is engaged, active, and developing the skills they need for lifelong participation in sport
