Three students play for Somerset Cricket 1st XI & 2nd XI
Somerset’s cricketing talent continues to shine across the county’s 1st XI, 2nd XI, and Academy levels, with several young players making notable contributions.
1st XI Highlights
In a competitive fixture against Devon, Oscar C, Ben C, and Kian R represented Somerset’s 1st XI. Both Kian and Ben impressed with the bat, scoring significant runs that anchored the innings. Their performances showcased maturity and technical skill, reinforcing their potential for future senior-level success. Oscar doing well with the ball showing a great understanding of T20 bowling.

2nd XI Performances
Kian R recently celebrated a milestone by scoring his maiden century for the Somerset 2nd XI, a composed and confident innings that marked a breakthrough in his development. Meanwhile, Will M delivered a standout bowling performance, demonstrating control and aggression that troubled the opposition throughout the match.
Academy Contributions
The Somerset Academy continues to nurture promising talent. Megan D and Elle G having both represented the Academy with distinction. Elle, in particular, has been a consistent performer, top-scoring in two of her three appearances this season. Her ability to build innings and rotate the strike has been a key asset for the Academy side.
